Jamaica has decided to reopen a tourist element that closed down in the 1990s. It is a train route, the Appleton Express, that goes from Montego Bay to the Appleton Estate. The Appleton Estate is very popular because it is the rum-making plant that has been interesting tourists since it started over two hundred sixty years ago. In a report done by Travel Pulse, outlines what the Jamaica government plans to do. Jamaica has had the third most visitors in the Caribbean after Cuba and the Dominican Republic. There is also a "Meet the People" program that makes Jamaica's tourism a little more unique. They want visitors to see what every day life is like in their country, which opens up their culture to more people. The article about the Appleton Express highlights the effect this has on the tourism in Jamaica. Their tourism director says that they are looking forward to a great year next year with tourism becoming bigger and better. He is persuading people to travel to Jamaica by using ethos, like Jay Heinrichs describes in his book. Ethos would be the argument by character, which would be the credibility that the tourism director has created by telling the people about the history and knowledge of the tourism in Jamaica. Without the established credibility, people would be concerned that this information was bogus and in turn would make people worried about traveling to the country. Jamaica is already beautiful by itself, but all of the new attractions it is bringing up makes this country one of the top places to visit.

I do believe I will schedule a visit to Jamacia soon. A very valid point raised is that Jamacia has always been a tourist hotspot. Now with more options to choose from this only increases the chances of people like me to go and see what all Jamacia has to offer.

I agree with everything you said, opening up more tourist activities will make Jamaica an even more popular place. With more activities the more people will want to vacation there and for a longer period of time.
